HTL.tech Shortlisted for Green Building Project of the Year at Ireland’s Climate Change Leadership Awards 2024

We are thrilled to announce that HTL.tech has been shortlisted for the Green Building Project of the Year at the prestigious Ireland’s Climate Change Leadership Awards 2024. This recognition underscores our unwavering commitment to sustainability and innovation, particularly through our groundbreaking 3DCP social housing project at Grange Close, developed in collaboration with Louth County Council and Roadstone Ltd.

Ireland’s Climate Change Leadership Awards (ICCLA) celebrate organisations, individuals, and initiatives demonstrating outstanding commitment and innovation in addressing climate change. These awards aim to recognise and honour those leading the way in sustainability, impacting Ireland’s journey towards a greener, more sustainable future.

Established to highlight the critical efforts needed to combat climate change, the ICCLA focuses on various sectors, including education, business, and community initiatives. The awards spotlight projects and practices that significantly reduce carbon footprints promote renewable energy and foster sustainable development. Acknowledging these efforts, the ICCLA encourages broader adoption of green practices and inspires others to contribute to a sustainable future.

The construction industry plays a pivotal role in shaping our built environment and significantly impacts our planet. Moving towards more sustainable construction practices is crucial for reducing carbon emissions, conserving natural resources, and creating healthier living spaces. Sustainable construction addresses environmental concerns and promotes economic and social benefits, such as energy efficiency, cost savings, and improved quality of life.

At HTL.tech, we are proud of our collaboration with Roadstone Ltd in creating Flomix, the lowest embodied carbon printable ready-mix concrete (RMC) globally, with an impressive carbon footprint of just 295kg CO2/m³. This innovative material is a cornerstone of our 3DCP social housing project at Grange Close, showcasing our commitment to pioneering eco-friendly construction solutions. Flomix exemplifies how industry partnerships can drive significant advancements in sustainability, setting new standards for low-carbon building materials.

We couldn’t have reached this point without the hard work and dedication of our amazing team and partners. This nomination is not just a recognition of these efforts but a motivation to continue pushing the boundaries of sustainable construction.
